I don't believe he was in US custody. I think he was turned over to the Iraqi goverment. They carried out the execution...not the US.
Can you believe that after all that Saddam did, they would let him hang around? (insert rimshot here). Hopefully the people of Iraq will co-exist peacefully so the multi-national forces can leave. Aside from that... Jason's Pee Wee Herman quote has me LMAO. Gonna have to check that one out again. It's been awhile since I have seen it. I also have to remember to visit the basement at The Alamo next time I'm in San Antonio. You have to admit, Pee Wee's bike was one sweet ride. Ha!
There's now a full uncensored cell phone video circulating the 'net. Please dont post any links to it on the board.
I would rather him suffer the indignity of solitary confinement for the rest of his life. Hanging just gave him another platform and a cheap way out.
I think the death of this vile peice of (Insert expletive here) is nothing but good news now we await the news of when his brother and i believe 2 more of his comrades have been killed, then we can try to put his reign over those poor people to rest and teach them that their way isn't the only way. My belief is that the way he lead showed the iraqis the only way is to act before speaking, and as most of us civilized people know, 99.9% of disputes CAN be handled without the need for violence
True, but then you run the possibility of Saddam becoming a martyr. In addition, there is the impending risk that he could actually escape (remember how hard he was to catch?). Last but not least, this is not our call. This is the will of the Iraqi people. If we wish for the Iraqi government to be autonomous, we must have minimal interference. Marsh
