Jenlieb, You can find some pretty decent pepper spray in that military looking store, near the restrooms, in Soriana. They have a purse sized one and a much larger one. You might want to grab one of each. I think they are like $60 and $110 or pretty close. Keep one in your purse and one by the bed. Try not to spray yourself.
Thanks all for your support. I got a can of pepper spray last evening, at Soriana next shop, not the name you recommended, Life, but I took what they had (Maximo?), the big one, 130 pesos. It is very unlikely they come back twice in a row, but I feel more protected... although it is still packed and with this crazy wind, I will not try it for a few days. Thanks, TJ, for the recommendation, I will do my best  , but in the middle of the night, my hand may be a bit ssssshhhhaaaking!!! Scorpio, my friend, please, let me keep my great memories from Toronto. Actually the human being has this faculty to remember only the good things (well... mostly), and I keep in mind the positive sides of all countries I lived in (and I was in Kinshasa at the Kolwezi bloodbath), how strange it stayed as the best time in my life  . You have also lived in several countries, not all the easiest either, so stay strong . But may I ask you why you are not in Cancun after all those years? Kim, see you on Sat?
Oh... I knew about Brian of course, but I didn't know how much he meant for you, I am sorry. and I didn't know you lived here, we lost touch for a while. As for Toronto, it has been 10 years, so I believe you when you say it has changed. Anyway, it is the past, we don't re-write history. I hope you will recover and find a meaning for your life. You are young, the future is always bright... somehow. If you wish you can email me.
