DAY 8 ~ THURSDAY We woke up and got ready for the day. I want to show you some of the reasons why ... Let's take a walk ... We walked to the Hot Baking Company for breakfast ... Nothing like eating your breakfast outside in December! Sooo good ... Then we took a walk down 5th Avenue, and found the OJ guy ... He'll cut and squeeze the oranges ... Nothing tastes better in the morning than fresh squeezed orange juice ... YUM! A lot of people are getting their breakfast from the carts ... The policia use little electric cars, they plug 'em in to recharge ... cute, huh? Marionettes for sale ... I was hoping this truck belonged to mi amigo, Todd, but I couldn't find him ... Susan requested a picture of Norb in a hat, and he obliged ... ONCE, Just for you, Susan ... The pier for the ferry to Cozumel ... The beach next to the pier ... Drugs are freely available without a prescription ... A tequila store on 5th Avenue ... I love the colors of the houses, you don't see lime green houses in Pittsburgh, I don't know why, because I like it ... You can buy a taco from a guy in a VW van ... I love this little church right on 5th Avenue ... We stopped in a few times during our trip, many prayers said, and thanks given that with all of his medical problems this year, Norb was able to make this trip ... I think it's so beautiful, you can see the Caribbean ... We better go back to the laundry, and pick up our clothes. We walked to the laundry, but then grabbed a taxi back to the Playa Palms. Our room was already cleaned ... Out to the beach for some sunning ... Look who I found wandering on the beach ... We ordered chicken quesadillas from the beach club next door ... and just enjoyed the rest of the afternoon, we may have taken a nap ... Soon it was time to shower and dress for dinner, where should we go? BABE'S!!! Mojitos, crab rolls ... Norb had Swedish meatballs, and I had Pad Thai noodles ... We love Babe's Noodle Bar! After walking around for a while it was time to go back to the hotel. Tomorrow ... another beach day!
