My first car was Frank, a Ford Fiesta Freestyle 1.1l. I got a loan for him. I loved Frank, LOVED him...and then I had a bad crash 2 years back and killed him

I replaced him with Ronald, Michael F and my's son, he's a Rover 214 Si. He lives on my Nans driveway while I'm in Australia and is well behaved I am told

Like Denise my first car was a 1970 Ford Maverick that was given to me in 1982. I was a late driver and did not start driving until after my daughter (aka Pricess Bluebay) was born. One of my co workers gave it to me as an incentive to get my license. The car would not go over 35 miles an hour before the front end would begin to shake, rattle an role.
From that point I have had a host of "ghetto bombs".
    1974 Dodge Sebring
    1981 Mercury Montego
1974 Chevy Nova (Complete with rusted floors )
1980 Nissan Datsun (Once stolen and recovered)

Life and finances improved and in 1991 we bought a brandy new Subaru Loyale and a Toyota Camry (station wagon).

In 1999 the Camry was passed on to the brat (aka Princess Bluebay) and I bought a Subaru Legacy.

Last year I got a 2006 Toyota Avalon. The first car that I am actually in love with. Many people tease me, calling this car my "mid life" crisis car. Thats OK because I believe that I got it the old fashioned way, I earned it.

    Fletchster...

You totaled a car? hmm.. what happened to the bike idea?

Three weeks ago a drunk pedestrian ran out into the street directly from inside the bar and I hit him and he broke his legs... it was his fault and my car got dents on it which he was supposed to pay for.. The windshield shattered in my face and I was fine but he got pretty messed up and went flyin. I was going to mail him a certified letter with the complaint and damages all written up. I thought this was the end of my bad string of luck..

Friday I totaled my car on the slippery ground because I took a turn too quick and there's no collision it.. 10G's gone..

At this point I am just waiting for the piano to fall on my head wheN I leave my house this morning.. I don't even know what else there is that could possibly go wrong.

When you said you were getting a bike I was all for it. At this point I dont have a choice because I don't want to make a humongous payment for a car I want to drive so I need to bank some more $ to drop that payment down. BIKE IS THE WAY TO GO! Lets just hope my string of GOOD LUCK starts SOONER and not LATER (Meaning.. after a bike accident)
