I like the little mini-goatee things just under the centre of the lower lip. What the heck are those called anyway?? :aetsch011: I think they look positively dastardly.
i guess it is really up to your wife. I prefer no facial hair on my husband however, it's very itchy!!
I wore one FOREVER (thought it would make my baby-face look more distinguished - right around the post-hippie/Magnum P.I. era of the late '70s), and in 2008 I shaved it off (thinking it was now ACTUALLY making me look older!) and my ex freaked - she decided that my upper lip was too skinny (having never seen it in the 18 years together!)...but every other female in my circle of friends told me it did indeed make me look younger w/out a mustache, so it's been clean-shaven ever since!
Great thread, I also contemplated shaving mine off last summer. Not sure people would recognize me. Wife and her friend tried to get me really drunk and shave it off. We all became preoccupied and never got around to it!
