I think there is a short season for whatever is doing the biting. I have not seen a mosquito there. We have a bug here that renders the beaches vacant for 2 weeks. Then they (greenheads) are gone. As far as the women go, they are always biting and have something in common with the greenhead. Both have cannibalistic tendecies.
