Go see the dessert, you can either go ATV ing or hire a private driver to show you the sites. Prices are more reasonable then Cancun,,,half way between the resort and the Mega store 2 minute walk you can book there or in town , 5 minute bus ride for 1.25$ Cabo 13/23 april, 2012
A trip to town is definately worthwhile. We took the glass bottom boat tour, which we really enjoyed. Arranged it at the resort. You meet the boat at the Marina, which is a beautiful area to see. The boat takes you out the the point where the Pacific ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. Lots of fish to be seen. The arches near the point are a tourist "must see". The town is far more "Mexican" than Cancun. Lots of shopping, both high end and local. A stop at Cabo Wabo for a nice big margarita. We had a bite to eat at the outdoor "Crazy Lobster" that was tasty and cheap. Lots of nightlife if you want to stick around and take a cab back. Have fun!
Spend some time at the marina in Cabo San Lucas. Lots of open air bar/restaurants with incredible views and great food. The teppanyaki table at the Japanese restaurant is very good, and the vino in the huge red wine glasses is great. We will definitely go out on a boat to see the Arch and such on our next trip.
Rob (Diamondheaded) mentioned going to Zipper's last time, I would like to do that next time. Go out to the beach, turn right and walk for about 45 minutes. Do the Arch, the Marina in Cabos, walk the big Luxury mall, the glass bottom boats, go into San Jose Del Cabo and walk around there, the MegaMall across the street, some of the restaurants are out of this world, look up Edith's, great steak and Lobster, the website for Sunset de Mona Lisa looks fabuolous.
We did it and had a blast. You have a choice between a 2 hr and a 3 hr tour. Take the 2 hr because everyone goes out together so if anyone purchases the 3 hr everyone gets it. We did.
