Don't know if it was because it was the decade week or the month of January but they played a lot of different music when we were there from last year. They even played some Salsa and Merengue music which surprised everyone. But again we were there 2 weeks and the music that they played night after night did become repetitious.
response to music I agree. The worst is the "house" music at night! Used to be they'd have a band 3x a week, different styles. I think they want you to get sick of it & go someplace else so they can save a few bucks on booze. Let's have an old fashioned demonstration & bring our own CD's & see if we can't get them to play something else! Nice & respectful, but firm!
Have tried that and they won't budge. Even if you make requests they seem to ignore you. Almost like the dj has gone deaf after listening to his own music day in and day out...
I have to say that I like the night the live band plays the best. The DJ seems to play what gets the most people on the dance floor. That said, it gets monotonous! In 4 trips I have always found they play what I request (when I'm sober enough to think of making requests that is)
