Having been a DJ for 10 years (weddings ect..) years ago,, I learned the fastest way to empty a dance floor was to take requests.
People play music on the beach all the time. Have never visited the TTR beach without one or two groups playing their speaker systems. If it's not right next to you, it's no different than hearing the noise travelling over from the Sexy Pool.
Good techno would be welcome. The stuff they kept playing last year was the same beat over and over. Our group kinda got bored with it pretty quick. Still had fun though. The live band they have I thought was pretty good. Would definitely like to hear some CCR, but that is not really the kind of music that would fit with the atmosphere.
IF you are at the beach, then maybe you should play some "beach music". Motown, Tams, Bill Deal, And most surely "Brown Eyed Girl" by both Van and Jimmy. I think at TTR, a daily play of "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life" would be very "fitting".
"IF you want to be happy for rest of your life" by Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels would be great for TTR and/or Hedo. Everyone can relate to the poor groom in the Youtube video.
We spent Christmas Eve dancing our assess off in the pouring rain at Paty-O to the same music we had all week. It was the best time I've ever had on vacation. I have no complaints about the music. I'm primarily a country music fan. But watching Becci shake her ass to some Pitbull was amazing to me.
