Both Life of Pi, and The Impossible are playing in the theaters, now. They are both good, but tell stories about disasters involving water, so two may be too many over a short period of time! I liked both, very much. Pi I liked as much for the scenes of India as anything, and Impossible for the close look at what the experience of the tsunami which killed 250,000 people in Dec 2004 must have been like. Horrific.
Our place in Puerto Morelos is on the Carreterra, ie a few kilometers from the water, as is our place in Nova Scotia. We love the water, but on a teacher's salary, couldn't afford waterfront real-estate. Plus, I fear water disasters - speaking of which, V, did you say 250,000 people were killed in that one tsunami!!?? That's unreal, "Impossible"!
That something I've never done in my now 7 winters, go to a movie. Or a baseball game. Or a booze cruise. All of which are on my bucket list. Maybe this year.
