Do we need a hint???? "The lord Jehovah has given you these fifteen... (drops stone tablet) Oi. Ten! Ten commandments for all to obey!"
At first I was thinking along the lines of "Dumbo" (remember the little mouse in Dumbo's hat?), then I remembered "Mr. Jingles" who was John Coffey's companion in "The Green Mile" (until they both met their untimely dimises). Next, I dug back a ways for this quote...makes me chuckle :icon_lol: whenever I think of this scene from a movie that came out the year I was born: "The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true! Right?" "Right. But there's been a change. They broke the chalice from the palace!" "They broke the chalice from the palace?" "And replaced it with a flagon." "A flagon...?" "With the figure of a dragon." "Flagon with a dragon." "Right." "But did you put the pellet with the poison in the vessel with the pestle?" "No! The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon! The vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true!" "The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true." "Just remember that."
They made talkies before you were born Jay? City Lights was going to be my guess. Quote sounds familiar, but I can't place it.
Surely you jest, Giacomo! (hint, hint).... Not only was it a "talkie" , but it was in COLOR, too! Tell you what, that last quote may have been a little tough, so here's another one: "My story begins in London, not so very long ago. And yet so much has happened since then..." (hint...part of the answer can be found to the left of this quote...at least until I add another post....and with that hint, your answer should be spot on!)
101 Dalmations ? "In one week, I can put a bug so far up her ass, she don't know whether to shit or wind her wristwatch."
Right you are, Dale & Cherri. I couldn't resist picking Pongo's quote from "101 Dalmations" in honor of our 101st post on this message board. Your quote is from what I consider to be the quintessential Jack Nicholson movie, "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" (to me, the most memorable quote from that movie was "Mmmmmm, Juicy Fruit".) Okay, now on to the next one. Since I recently posted such a looooong quote yesterday about the "chalice from the palace" (which, by the way, no one has answered yet), I'll make up for it with an extremely short quote this time: "Ditto."
Braveheart. Great show! "My morse is so rusty I might be sending him the dimensions of playmate of the Month."
