My wife and I are thinking that we don't need a car to get back and forth from our condo in Puerto Morelos to Cancun and PDC. A motorbike would do nicely, much better than bussing it. Any advice for us on this matter from those living in Q. Roo?

Motorcycles and scooters are an extremely popular way of getting around down here. Heck, they sell them in grocery stores! Definitely a cheap alternative to a car, but of course far more dangerous. I've seen scooters for about 11 000 pesos at Walmart.

Wanting to ride a motorbike on the Cancun-Tulum highway = deathwish.

If I was bussing between PDC and Cancun regularly, I'd be inclined to catch the ADO shuttle to the airport, then the one from there to the destination - those buses have seat belts!
