Just ask them if they'd fancy a jog in the morning down the beach, when they're tired out before you...you call them out as the liar! Wouldn't work in my case - I'd only get 5 mins in and be bored and tired out!
Biggest reason we came back to TTR was because we didn't feel any obligation to fit into any box. For me it's a vacation away from feeling bad about being overweight - TTR is one of the only places I don't feel judged! Truly nobody really knows you or gives a shit
Fluffy and happy? Thing is, I'm lazy. I'm not happy, but I'm a bit too passive sometimes. I've had moments of inspiration, and over periods of 1 to 3 years at a time I've lost 40lbs or so and gained it all back again plus a bit more for the past 15 years. I'm your classic yo-yo diet and exerciser. Some people are able to find that inspiration to moderate their diet and exercise more, and some of us aren't. Unfortunately we go from success to abysmal failure over and over again. I totally agree on the protein/fruit/no processed carbs diet...I think you can get enormous gain from feeding your body what it is genetically programmed to eat (paleo diet) of unprocessed meat, veggies and fruits. Try telling that to the side of me that craves chocolate, wine and fried food though.
Your right !! and it is to bad it got ugly... But have to say that we all know that majority of the people that go to TTR are like minded people..no judgement of others.. and like this thread and TTR we can just move on..
Ok, so...we just got home from our virgin trip to TTR on Thursday..... (loved it, will write a report, but for now I'm too busy getting reacquainted with my bong which I hadn't seen in 7 days, and couldn't focus long enough to finish a decent one. To all you stoners out there....take 7 days off from weed, then start again. Trust me on this. It's like being 17 all over again. But I digress...)......and I have to say the one thing that absolutely drove us crazy, was.... cigar smoke. Not the people smoking the cigars. The smoke. There weren't a lot of cigar smokers, but when 1 of them would light up, you could smell it 50' away. I don't care if it's an expensive cigar, or a cheap assed cigar....they all smell like burning dog shit rolled in waxed paper. *repacks the bong*
your very right donald!! i smoke but when im in a group of people that i see dont, i always ask if it bothers them. some it does so i either dont, or walk away to have one. i remember still how it bothered me when i diddnt. as with everything we do, try to always be polite to others. just how i was raised.
I hear ya... being drunk and stupid is one thing..LOL but being a smoker makes me feel like an outcast...well until the drunk and stupid kicks in...LOL... Then I'm cool...:bandit:
