Hammie, Back in the 60s, our OLD family Doctor (John Hopkins 1924) always told us kids that alcohol only removes the inhibitions. The person that you see after he/she is really drunk is the REAL personality of that person. Good or Bad!!!

I've had the pleasure of witnessing one fist fight at a bar. Full on tables turned over, bar stools flying, the works. It all kicked off because one guy spotted another guy who'd previously dated his girlfriend, and lunged at him because he felt this ex was 'looking at him funny'. Mates from either side got involved and all hell broke loose.

Thankfully I'm with the most pacifistic guy you will ever meet; Russ wouldn't hurt a fly. We steer clear of trouble.

We've met some awesome people from all over the globe in our travels and we've met some awful people from all over the globe! I don't think any one nationality can be labelled as ruder or more obnoxious than another. As overly friendly Newfies (yes we're famous for it and damn proud to say so) we wouldn't want to be labelled as "troublesome Canadians" because of someone's bad experience with some rude Canadians. Tolerance people. We're all different that's part of what makes travelling so fun!!
