   so do any of you get the Malaria shot before you go , I figure it's not the deep jungle but who knows now-a-days ?

   You dont need to take any precautions against Malaria in Cancun, unless you intend to go deep into the jungle. Malaria tablets can mess your system around quite severely so best avoiding them.
   
   Shots against tetanus, hepatitis A and typhoid are recommended though.
