    Yikes!
Now Obama wants us to trust the Federal Government so it can manage your Healthcare?
    Are you kidding?

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_government_waste

    Among the reported waste:

_Agriculture: $4.3 billion in improper payments, or 5.9 percent of total department spending. Much of it was in the food stamp, federal crop insurance and school meals programs.

_Defense: $849 million, or 0.5 percent.

_Education: $599 million, or 2.1 percent.

_Health and Human Services: $55.1 billion, or 9.4 percent. That included improper payment rates of 7.8 percent and 15.4 percent in the Medicare fee for service and Advantage programs, respectively.

_Homeland Security: $644.5 million, or 3.7 percent. Much of it was in the Homeland Security grant program as well as Disaster Relief Fund Vendor Payments.

_Housing and Urban Development: $1 billion, or 3.5 percent. All of it was attributed to public housing and rental assistance.

_Labor: $12.3 billion, or 9.9 percent. Almost all of the improper payments were in the unemployment insurance program.

_Treasury: $12.3 billion, or 25.5 percent. All of it was attributed to improper payments in the earned income tax credit.

_Transportation: $1.5 billion, or 3 percent. Much of it was in the Federal Highway Administration planning and construction program.

_Veterans Affairs: $1.2 billion, or 2.7 percent. That included improper payments in the pension and other compensation programs.

_Social Security Administration: $8.0 billion, or 1.2 percent.

Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del., who chairs a Senate panel on federal financial management, said he worried that the latest numbers "may still be just the tip of the iceberg" since they don't include estimates for several programs such as the Medicare prescription drug plan.

"It goes without saying that these results would be completely unacceptable in the private sector, as they should be in government, especially at a time of record deficits," Carper said.

They made Stimulus Package payments to lots of Congressional Districts in Colorado that don't exist. Millions of dollars worth. That's according to the White House Tracking Database. Colorado only has 7 districts.

Wonder whose pockets that ended up in?

Let's send them even more money to re-distribute. :D

Let's kick that Democrats ass, even though he has only been in for a little over 9 months, we know without a doubt that you all would be in a better place had you elected the Republican.

The Republican party's track record speaks for itself, they would never create boondoggles or misappropriate funds. They would never hire self serving people to lead disater relief in areas hard hit by hurricanes or similar disaters.

A hands off approach to Wall street would benefit everyone. Contemplation of health benefits for everyone is simply a communist scthick and should never be considered, why you could end up like those communist bastards in England or Canada.

Let's not even give him the benefit of a year in power, let's have our spokesman like good ole Rush tell everyone exactly like it is. Imported pharmaceuticals from other countires are terrible, ole Rush needs to get his pills locally.

Clean up them democrats right now!!!

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Besides.. spending 845 Billion to add health care for 31 million people, or 27 Billion per person if you need help with the math, is such a great deal. We should all celebrate and give each other a car since we own the company. :D

    nahhh!!!

We should have just let them car companies go under.

That way we could wring our hands over all the extra unemployment, auto workers, car dealers, after market specialists, et al.

That way we could have more to criticize them terrible democrats over.

(by the way 845 billion for 31 million people is only with concessions to the "other" party, if you make it entirely government run and get rid of the insurance companies and special interest groups it won't cost that much. Speaking from a nation of approximatley 31 million people that doesn't spend 845 billion on universal health care).

    back at ya :)

Then maybe you all should come down and run this thing cause I don't see how allowing 200 million people pay for thier own insurance should cost 845 Billion to the government. I could see how it could make the government's bill for covering 31 million higher but trust me, I don't spend 27 billion a year on my insurance.

Curiously, isn't 845 billion divided by 31 million equal to 27,000 not 27 billion? If not I think my head is going to explode.

Note: I'm not trying to derail your point, the math just stood out to me as terribly wrong :)

    $27,258.06 to be exact.

But this is politics... stop reading the facts and waiting to find any type of responsible journalism. It makes the debates boring and too many people lose interest too fast.

Just believe what people tell you or what you read on the internet. It's a lot more interesting and sells a whole lot more advertising space.
