Great a couple more people with good tast. I buy my crown at the airport and the bar tenders hold it or me at the resort. It is a lot cheaper then in the states.
Great! Good to know we can get it at the airport to take to TTR. I didnt want to have to go searching to have it that evening. Now if I can find his cohibas, we will be golden. I am pretty easy, coffee, no cooking or cleaning, plenty of alcohol and great new friends and it will be the perfect vaca!
There is a duty free store in the Cancun airport at the arrival area, after immigration and before customs. We stop there every time to get scotch and raspberry vodka :icon_mrgreen:
They are the equivalent of a Romax watch. They smoke perfectly fine but not the high-end Cuban cigars you may be looking for Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk 2
Usually ones sold on the beach are fake. He loves his cigars and can tell the difference. We may have to make a trip to town...
1. Is it cheaper to buy Crown at the airport or liquor store? Depends on the liquour store, I betcha. However, the difference, unless there's some promotional sale going on sponsored by Crown in Mexico (doubtful at best) between the local liquor store there in Mexico/Cancun and buying it at duty-free is probably worth less to you than your vacation time will be. Snag it at the airport. 2. Can hubby buy real Cohibas at the resort and if not, where? * No, I don' tthink so, unless the cigar tray girl has made a return? We didn't notice her after April last year. After that, we've no clue, though we ask that you ask him to smoke them downwind. 3. Is it too early to start packing for Apr 18-23? LOL * Nope! 4. Can we bring our own floaties? * Yes, though they'll probably have something bad happen to them. Bad, in this instance is defined as you might get splayed out on them while four or so of the best friends you've ever met that day take bodyshots off of you, someone gets over-playful and rips a hole accidentally in the floatie, and you start to sink, only to be rescued by your hubbie and placed on the bar since he didn't get his own chance to bodyshot you. THere you go.
You might be able to find some fancy cigars at the La Europea store in downtown Cancun. It's just across the street from the Walmart. Apparently there's another store south of the resort in the main hotel zone, but I haven't been to that one and I don't think it's as big.
