I'm there Got here yesterday, airport was not as bad as I thought, Moon Palace is absolutely massive, completely under estimated the size of the place. Got a lovely room on the nizuc side right on the beach. 13 days left in paradise.
We went to Moon Palace from April 24th - May 1st on our honeymoon and Moon Palace and the airlines did not have our info until the beginning of April. They don't really get the info until the beginning of the month that you are visiting is what I was told from my travel agency ( Carlson Wagonlit ) Funny thing when I was there is that I ran into Danirose on the Lobby to Lobby bus. That was too funny. We just booked for April 20th - April 27th 2007 for our 1-year anniversary and can not wait! During our honeymoon we did the couples massage and I would 150% reccommend it! The only construction that I saw when I was there was that they were putting elevators on the Sunrise side.
Spent the first week in May this year at The Moon Palace, and what can I say..... AMAZING!!!!! They realy cant do enough for you service is A CLASS... Going back next May however this time for 2 weeks of heaven!!
Few questions about MP Hi guys, new here tried reading thru the forumn so far so apologies if the questions i ask have already been answered and ive missed them! Last year my fiance and i went to Cancun for the first time...we fell in love immediatly with the place and ahvent stopped talking about it, needless to say when we started thinking of honeymoon we didnt think past Mexico (maybe thought briefly about a couple of other areas but no Cancun is paradise. We didnt really do the partying thing too much as we decided to do our padi and spent most of 2 weeks diving (wow is all i can say), we went to a couple of places at the end of the trip like daddy rock, daddy o, bulldog, and wanted to go to places like coco bongo etc next time we visit... ...we stayed at the oasis playa (which we couldnt fault, was heaven - even got invited to one of the staff's house for dinner, unfortunatly the one day off they had was our leaving day as they work 6 days a week but the offer was amazing. Still in touch with others still in cancun and those moved on to acapulco.) Anyway to cut the story short (cant help rambling on about the place ) we are wondering if there are any similar things at the MP ? This is our honeymoon so we chose here as wanted to be extra special - we couldnt normally afford the place for the 3 weeks we are going to be there in May next year but thought what the hell - be pampered a little and have the holiday of a lifetime! At the oasis playa there was an option to pay something like $20 each for that get transport to club, entry and no queue, tables reserved and table service all night... ...wondering if there is anything similar we can also do with the MP as we will want to celebrate a bit more and have a few more shandies if you get my drift  Also we loved the fact that you could chill in the day of play sports live pool/beach volleyball, basketball, etc etc the daytime entertainment was great - is this possible at the MP? I understand the hotel is off from the hotel zone, is it safe to walk to the bar area and back if we dont want a cab & just enjoy the views ? Lastly i know someone had posted this but i see so many conflicting bits of information...and as we are there for 3 weeks we want to get it right, which part of the hotel is best to stay in, our travel operator booked it up as honeymoon so hotel will know, adv us we will get room with jacuzzi, ("should be sea view as 97% of rooms are") but id like to make sure, so any advice here so i can contact my operator before its too late would be fantastic....the only time we will be in our room should be romantically  so a good view is important. Ps anyone here in contact with anyone at oasis playa or aquaworld as id really like to catch up with a couple of ppl when we go to repay the kindness and courtesy...unlike some on other sites we know that people here are out of this world, they dont have to be as great as they are and we've stayed all over the world and NEVER got as great memories overall and experianced anything like it....brilliant! lmao i cant stop, one more place id love to find out about is Lorenzillios as we plan to return for a 1st class romantic meal as again couldnt fault only praise the place...im hoping wasnt damaged by Wilma ? Sorry was so long....couldnt help it....thanks for any response received
Re: Few questions about MP Hi...you said alot before that question, so I am going to guess you mean if you have easy access to the clubs in Cancun. I would say yes in the sense that you can schedule yourself for the free shuttle into the hotel zone. However, any partying until the wee hours of the a.m. likely means you have to pay for a taxi to get back to the MP. I understand there's lots to read in this Moon Palace thread, but I think I recall either here or somewheres else a mention that the MP offers a "party tour" where you get shuttled to the club(s) and cover is included...dunno where I saw that, tho. I guess I answered that question to the best of my ability above, lol. I saw table tennis, two miniature golf courses, tennis courts, pool tables, foosball, you could rent/borrow bikes to explore the grounds. I think there are basketball hoops. Am pretty sure that volleyball in different forms is scheduled, but the wife and I knew we wouldn't participate so we didn't investigate schedules and locations for this. I think Marooned attempted to walk from the Hotel Zone to the MP...but I don't think he made it. Basically, I believe you are generally safe from being a crime victim. However, it is an isolated area and if anything should happen to you on your trek you can't be seen or heard from the road, the MP, nor likely the Wet n' Wild water park which would be the next nearest place with people (but not at night, either). Just be extra careful, is all. 97% of rooms in this case pretty much means it doesn't matter which part of the hotel you are in for that sea view. And all the suites have in-room jacuzzi's. If you want the best view possible, my take is you want to be placed in one of the buildings by the pool. The pools themselves are awesome and make for great "viewing". Be advised, however, that some of the rooms have their jacuzzi's within plain sight of anyone staring up at your room at night...so any "nakey nakey" action involving climbing in and out of your whirlpool can be appreciated by your fellow guests. The MP has an Aquaworld "outpost" on its property adjacent to the beach to handle the motorized sports equipment and provide various tours. Am pretty sure you can make your inquiries directly to the staff there. Am pretty sure it is open. You should post that question in the Cancun Info forum, however.
^^^ You are a star ! Thankyou very much for your help honey... ...we cant wait to go (guess that shows in my post lol) Sure read most of the posts but missed the vital party tour one so will definatly check that out Ill take your advise on the walking business i saw that there is a transport service to the other sites in the hotel zone but wanted to check as it isnt that regular in the day...but we could always get the free ride in n stay till the early hours then taxi it home Much appreciation for answering my mess of questions
