Send a PM to Steve or repost the specific question about this in the Cancun Info forum. The locals and many of the regulars are aware of what is available in the hotel zone with regard to catching a big game in a club.

There can be if you look for it...it is a big resort!
    http://www.palaceresorts.com/Resorts/MoonPalace/Activities.asp

Each side has a theme night and usually is done in the lobby buildings. They must change from time to time, as I never saw a "current" schedule posted...theme nights usually include a "disco night", "ballet folklorico", "bingo", "karaoke", etc. Upon check-in, look around for a billboard or poster showing the schedules for the coming week.

I know there are occasional shows in the ampitheater between the pools and the sea at the Nizuc. Wife and I caught some adult-themed entertainment where couples competed for a prize...and it can be raunchy, but funny! Includes an outdoor bar.

There is a nightclub on site called the Andromeda...I think that's on the Sunrise side. Haven't been there.

I have been to "La Jungla" lounge and bar in the Nizuc. It's open 'til 1:00 a.m. and appears to have a small band performing nightly, taking requests. Cozy and small, difficult to find, but it's between Los Caporales restaurant and the timeshare rooms...against the same wall.

Usually there's a larger, more professional band performing in the Nizuc lobby bar area...stuff good enough to dance to, but we never caught anyone taking a whirl. Around the dinner hour, you could forgo the restaurants in the building and snack on sushi made to order in the lobby area.

Am pretty sure that the Moon Palace offers for a price tours into the Hotel Zone to the clubs at night. Haven't seen any posted anywhere, but it would make some sense that they would tap into this activity.

Almost forgot, there is a weekly "kitchen tour" that sound like fun, but I haven't read a detailed report about it. Here's one person's input:

I see you also posted that question in the Cancun Info forum. That's a better place for answers as that situation applies to many peeps on holiday, not just at Moon Palace :)
