Moon Palace refurb? I'm getting married at the moon palace in July, however a friend of mine who is staying here in November has received a letter to say the moon palace is being closed for refurbishment before they go. Anyone know if this is the case and what date it will be closed from and to.
Let me figure things: your friend is staying there in November 2006, and you're getting married in July 2006? Palace resorts has not posted anything about shutting down the Moon Palace (MP) for a refurbishment. In fact, the latest press release touts their wedding package done for free at a few select resorts, including the MP: http://www.palaceresorts.com/Press/FreeWeddings2006.asp I recommend you call that 1-800 number at the bottom of that article to get the info "straight from the horse's mouth"?

Moon Palace Hotel information / review - must read ! My husband and I visited the Moon Palace first in September 2003 and then again in August 2005, when we actually got married, taking 11 family and friends with us. The fact that we returned to this hotel speaks for itself, it is fantastic. The hotel, amenities, restaurants, weather, swimming pools, wedding was just amazing, and exactly like what you see in all the pictures and brochures. I have written a 35 page report on my experiences at the hotel, which includes what happens on your wedding day, hotel guide, recommended trips etc. More information than you will ever find on the internet in one place. You can purchase this report for a very small admin fee on Ebay - search under 'Moon Palace Report' You will not be disappointed. I spend hours and hours researching the Moon Palace on the internet before I booked my holiday, and some of the negative comments regarding the seaweed on the beach etc did slightly put me off. But trust me, the positives far outweigh the negatives, get that ticket booked and get yourself off today ... you'll love it !! Enjoy.
I just heard read somwhere that palace resorts my be over booking....??? so i call my agent she was really anoyyed that I said i am reading to much on the next. anyone hear anything about this?
Not from what I've heard Dani, I have quite a few clients going over the next month and none of them have been bumped.
We were at the "Moon" from Feb 25th to Mar 4th. After talking to many staff members, they said that the resort was at capacity. I did'nt hear anything about over booking. They were still fixing damage from Oct. But I have said it over & over, this resort is "World Class". Very nice. Were going back ASAP......
Punta Nizuc or Sunrise Which is the best side to stay at, do they have the same activities at each pool. How long does it take to walk between the two pools. Also has anyone played golf there, I understand it is quite expensive any tips on getting a round a bit cheaper?
