    hey guys, 2 questions !!

    1. i'm really stuck on how much money to bring .. the hotel & food is all-inclusive, and i already bought the bracelet for the clubs each night .. so basically i would just need $$ for tipping and cabs right? i was going to bring maybe $250, but my friend was going to bring $450 .. what do u guys think?

    2. I know the tap water in Cancn isn't good to drink, which means you have to watch out for the ice too .. do you think the all-inclusive restaurants for oasis Cancun would use filtered water for their ice? & all the major bars too? or do you know certain bars that i'd have to watch out for ?

    thanks!!

i always get my drinks without ice just to be safe

and if youve already bought the bracelets for the clubs, 250 doesnt seem like too little to bring, but you may want to think about doing day trips or something that may end up costing you more, so plan accordingly

Almost ALL of the hotels AND restaurants in the hotel zone have filter systems in place where the water is filtered. So, you shouldnt have a problem there!

also what i did at the royal sands is fill ice trays up with bottled water and then freeze that (if you want drinks at the hotel and have booze)

I never had problems with ice in Cancun myself, just as CollegeGuy posted about filtration.

As far as the money is concerned, don't forget about money for shopping :D (for souveniers, and there are great malls there), and money for snacks if and when you're out and about.

I bring a bottle of acidophilus with me. Take a few a day, fights off ANY bacteria pretty much that you might get connected to drinking the water as well!
