Not in this hospital which, by the way, is not the same one where the "blood adventure" took place. We may have to go by long pants and shoes and socks just to get in.
Sorry this took me so long, but had to wait for Araceli to send me pictures...I wasn't even wearing short shorts...cargo style shorts. I think they just look for a reason to tell me no. Crazy. Isn't she the cutest?
I hate to ruin this nice happy ending thread, but I heard something more about the whole blood thing in Cancun. A friend of a friend just died at Galenia (2 weeks ago) because the hospital did not have any O+ blood on hand. She was having a routine surgery. When a blood transfusion was needed there was no blood to be found. The terrible part is that several O+ blood donors came forward willing to donate immediately (right when she needed it), but they could not donate at Galenia directly, instead they had to donate at the the blood bank by the General Hospital the NEXT MORNING. By the next morning the poor woman was dead! There is something very wrong with this system.
Now that is seriously messed up Rivergirl. I donate regularly and last time I donated was a special O drive at the local church and it only took 45 minutes start to finish. Even after the cookies and coke.
