Miss Temptations October Hopeful Needs YOUR Help!

My opinion about the suspicious activity is cause Jamie went from double digits to 200+ in 2 days. Paula also got alot of votes quickly. In my opinion Hillary gained votes slowly but surely and in a favor manner. Maybe they will get disqualified and Hillary will pull out the win

OMG, Bart/Annette. That's too funny. I'm sure pundits will be discussing the drama of the Miss Temptationsgate scandal of 2009 for many years to come.

I have to say I was surprised when I was on the site Thursday night and watched as Paula racked up 50 votes in an hour and a half. Every time I refreshed she had another 2-3 votes...hmmm.... :?

And yeah, Jamie went from 0 to 400 overnight it seemed. Apparently I'm not providing enough sexual favors for computer programmers to write automatic voting 'bots for me.

Voodoopickle: I'm not sure if your definition of slutty pics is just that much narrower than mine, or if you are confusing me with the other contestants :lol:

Not sure how to respond, respectfully? But, hey girl...you've got my vote:0) (if it will get you a free ride to the resort). I'll be heading to TRS mid-December for a first time visit. Am hoping for major R&R (high priority). All other offerings will be respected, fully!

It looks like someone has figured out a way around the one vote issue. I'm guessing that they aren't collecting IP addresses on the Temptation server because it would take to long to scan them everytime someone votes. They are probably putting a cookie or something on your machine when you vote and when you vote again - they check to see if it is there. Someone real good with PC's (not me) can probably figure out the name of the cookie, delete it and vote, delete it and vote, etc..

Guess you just can't take this thing too serious because there is definately a backdoor into this voting procedure.

We can surely do better than this for Hillary I have voted three times for her, and will try to vote another couple of times.

We all have access at home, most of us at work, and most of us can vote on our phones. Vote on your spouses phone or computer. Use your kids also.

Unfortunately, Firm is right that there's obviously a back door in all of this. The voting site does note your IP address when you visit, but there are thousands of proxy IP addresses that Jamie and Paula (and anyone who wants to beat an online poll...or download kiddie porn anonymously...) can use to cheat. Just Google proxy IP and you'll find a ton of sites that offer IP addresses as well as instructions for how to configure your computer so that the proxy stands in for your real IP, allowing you to surf anonymously--or vote multiple times in an online poll. In addition, there's plenty of software that can help you do this more efficiently by downloading and checking IP addresses to make sure they work, then allowing you to switch between the addresses quickly. (Google ProxySwitcher Standard software).

It was one thing when the contest was about about who had the most friends but now it's about who can cheat most efficiently--or has the most time to sit home and switch between proxy IPs to vote repeatedly for herself. I could win by playing that game--I'll admit it's tempting--and even argue it's merely bending the rules, not breaking them. But I really think the whole thing is pretty silly now and not worth a free trip or photoshoot to waste my time trying to out-cheat two cheaters. Especially when all you wonderful people have stepped up and taken your time to submit real votes on my behalf. Besides, what my husband and I really need right now even more than a free trip is good karma.

So good luck to Jamie and Paula, and I hope they have fun on the final day of voting when they're both chained to their laptops, frantically switching between IP servers and trying to make up valid email addresses. It might be entertaining to view the tallies between 4 pm and 6 pm Tuesday night as they soar into four-digit territory. (Yes, that was snarky.)
