That's why we always get a 1st floor room around the quiet pool. Grab a drink at the quiet pool bar after having one there for the room while getting changed before going out to dinner for drinks then Paty O's for more drinks
fill your bubba mug right when leaving the pool and you'll have something to sip on while getting ready for the night
we have a limit Liquids gels and aerosols are permitted in carry-on baggage on the following conditions: They are in containers of 100 ml/100 g (3.4 oz.) or less. Containers over 100mL/100g (3.4oz) will be confiscated from carry-on baggage at the security checkpoint. The containers are placed in one (1) clear, closed and resealable plastic bag no larger than 1 litre (1 quart). One resealable plastic bag per passenger is permitted.
No liquor in the room, unless you walk across the street or bring it in from Duty Free when you fly. Question: What, exactly, requires pre-mixing in the room? If you get a bartender's good graces with pleasant conversation, attitude etc., (tip), they'll make exactly what you want, how you want it made. And... if they don't get it right, you can pour it out (please don't do that, it is not illegal, but offensive to us power-drinkers LOL!) I suppose it's hard to get the guys to make a proper martini, or something to that effect, but if you are drinking those around the pool..... Oh My!
This is from the TSA website: Think that's pretty much any flight from the US. 3-1-1 for carry-ons = 3.4 ounce (100ml) bottle or less (by volume); 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3.4 ounce (100ml) container size is a security measure.
The bar serves Dos Equis, as does every hotel in the hotel zone as they have a monopoly I've heard. Some hotels have the Dos Equis amber but I've not seen it at TTR. The amber is really good but the regular stuff isn't bad after 5 or 6 pints lol The mini bar has 2 cans of Modelo I believe.
There is an OXXO store across the street and a bit to the left, less than a 5 minute walk. They have a pretty good selection of both Mexican and imported beer, for about the same price as a 7-11 type store in the States. I actually enjoy going there because you see mostly locals. It's also a good place for Gatorade and snacks for the room.
