I will eventually do a trip report. We stayed at grand but went over to miches TTR for the Saturday night party (best time we had over there), Sunday night party trying to recreate Saturday (completely slow and boring) and during the day tried Sunday and Monday. Both very slow. Pool is so large it spreads people out. Occupancy was low. Just wasn’t a fun party. Can’t be compared to TTR Cancun.
the easter crowd started to roll in wed/thrus becuase its a big holiday for the locals. i think it depends how and whom you have at the partys becuase anyone that stayed at the grand after the 4th knows we turned up the beat on the partys, the foam party on grand ( small in qty of people ) but the group was so much fun, we set up a towel on one of the concrete islands and body shots and chocolate sauce came out, i think everyone from miches that did a premier walk thru ended up buying after seeing how we were getting the party going, even with maybe 30-40 people when we went to miches party it took a bit but we got a small crowd into the same thing, we lost two sunglasses and many hair clips. but even bash we always went with a few couples most dressed up for grand theme so everyone was watching us. and then we would spend a couple hours and head back to grand for hot tub. age didnt matter to us, two nights we ate with couples in their 60's even she got into the body shots at grand, just unlucky with the vibe the few days you were there sadly after the foam party we actually extended a extra night to get neon night in at both crowd not as busy, but our parties were just as fun, we will create our entertainment and fun we dont need large cancun crowd to make it happen. sorry your experience wasn't compared to Cancun, we are doing cancun again in labour day with a group of 5 couples but already that week we are looking at grand again maybe mid summer,and near Christmas.
We booked last minute 4/20-4/24. Grande was sold out. We have been to Temptation and Desire a few times, we have high hopes for Miches!
We went to Miches Grand in late February for a week and immediately booked another trip. We’ll be there again on May 3 - 9. We had so much fun and we loved how you could walk back and forth between the two resorts, since we booked at Grand. The restaurants are fantastic on both sides of the resort. We’ve been to TTR CUN 30+ times and actually prefer Miches over TTR Cancun. Sure the drive is longer than CUN but the road is new and it’s a scenic drive. We got a private shuttle and told our driver to have beers iced and ready. He delivered! Overall, the resort far exceeds the amenities in Cancun at TTR. If you like the rooms at Desire Pearl and Riveria Maya, then you’ll be right at home at Miches Grand. The beach at Miches is better than Cancun and Riveria Maya. Also, the hot tub and pool at Grand are better than anything at Desire. The “fun factor” at the Temptation Cancun pool will hopefully be matched and exceeded when the crowd size at both resorts is the same. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.
