I wont be out tonight, had a late one last night and have a heavy cold.

Maybe we should go for next Saturday, if we can agree on a place.

Bladesboy you must be from Sheffield Wait 'til Ian our resident Wednesdayite finds you.

BTW If you have any room for a few bags of Walkers Prawn Cocktail or Cheese N Onion on your trip over I'll gladly take them off your hands

Every time I go to La Taberna we end up leaving because of how frickin' smoky it is (cough, hack, gag!!) and going across the street to Los Arcos which is more open and has better lighting and live music (though worse beer).

    Meeting people

Yes Kim, but, Los Arcos can be noisy too with the loud music.

For non La Taberna fans I like Tony's downstairs. They have great air conditioning if they don't forget to close the entry door. OK pool tables where there isn't a terribly long list of names most of the time, the food is about the same as La Taberna in terms of quality and price, but you can also carry on a conversation.

Friday nights in the 9:00-9:30 range is when me and my posse typically show up. We leave anytime before they throw us out at about 6:00 am.

I met Dr. Jim by arrangement at La Taberna but we migrated to Tony's and that is where he keeps dropping my cue stick.

They'v done away with the outside section at La Taberna too. The only potential area to get away from the noise and smoke :(

Not keen on Tony's myself, plus not keen on the night revolving around pool.... or American football... or poker. Three reasons why I havent been out much lately

Drew and Rivergirl, come on throw some options in!

it is an argentinian restaurant right at the roundabout by las margaritas. the food is decent. it is not a big bar scene and is a good location...
