If you get it touched up very soon, then I wouldn't go tanning until two weeks after you get it. Then you can tan as long as you cover it with sunblock, or put a thick Band-Aid on it while you tan, but defiantly still wait for it to have the first initial 2 week healing process. This would probably still give you two weeks to still get that tan on before you leave in May. Also it is a bit hard for me to say not knowing how big of a butt tattoo we are talking about here No matter what, sun and tanning can cause it to fade again. It is best not to get tattoos before summer swimming and sun, but sometimes it is hard not too

Ouch, that's a short trip. I would recommend going full throttle while there. I'm sure glad I get the vacation that I do. We'll be glad to help you with your partying though.
