Not Roy or Marie, but I can answer. The Friday night cruise is sponsored by the hotel, and involves a large boat that sails the lagoon for about 2 hours and then docks downtown and you will get on a bus and head to Carlos and Charlies for dinner and drinking. It is a fun night and is pretty well done in my opinion, the booze and food are all included in the price, after Carlos and Charlies you can either go back to the hotel or head out to a preselected club, for additional $$. The Thursday cruise is sponsored by CancunCare and is separate from the hotel. We will also take a large boat but instead of going to Carlos and Charlies downtown, we will head over to the island, partying like crazy, dock the boat and have a buffet dinner on the beach, play Temptations style games drinking and dancing all over and then cruise back for more of the same. All the drinks and food are included in the price, the only additional may be a tip for the crew on the boat (same way on the Friday cruise) This cruise will be a blast, we had one of these in May of 2006 and I think it is still the highlight of of our 7 trips. You won't be disappointed!
WOW!!! they both sound great! I am aware of the cost of the Friday night cruise. What does the Thursday night cruise go for? Are we close to reaching the minimum needed?
I want to change our dates so that we can stay and go on the cruise. Maybe next year. We'll just have to create our own party on one of the other nights while we are still there with all of you crazy (DavenRose, Mignon, funcouple, Glen and Monique) people are still there!!!! :lotsofmichaelf:
OK.. given the numbers that we have, or at least hope to have in the 60 person range the cruise would look like what Dave was describing except partying on the beach we’re looking at partying in a club with a pool in the patio. Seems the Beach needs a lot more folks. As far as the price goes, we’re trying to keep it in the same range, give or take a dollar or two. We won’t know the exact cost till we hit 60 and are able to officially book it. It’s a longer cruise and unlike the Friday one, we know everyone on the boat will be crazy and in a party mood. As much as I love the Friday cruise, you’re at the mercy of the crowd as to how good it gets. The Thursday crowd will be crazy, We’re currently at 42 and need 60. If we don’t get the numbers we need you can always fall back on the Friday cruise (for those that will still be there) but we’re trying our best to get the numbers so we can go. Jamie
