Just keep a mask in your pocket. Problem solved everyone. Now, go enjoy your vacation/vacation planning like you should be.
Just arrived Cancun airport. United announced in Houston airport terminal that they're following international countries rules, thus required masks onboard plane & Cancun airport. On transfer van now, no mask required...
Flew down on Thursday on JetBlue. No mask required on the plane until they opened the door in Cancun. So I guess it depends on the airline as how they interpret the rules. Currently you need masks on public transportation (busses and ferries), grocery stores, and the airport. Jamie
As of yesterday (10 May) masks are no longer required anywhere in Cancun. Any use of masks is purely voluntary. Cancun stats prompting this change are that no one has died with Covid for 5 weeks and there are only around 20 new cases a day.
Got our USA Transfers ride, no masks requiredd there either. We DID have to put one on before going intot he liquor store for a bottle of bourbon. I totally forgot. My bad, y'all... Southwest flight down from Hobby to Cancun, no facemasks required in Houston Hobby airport. No mask on flight down to Cancun. No announcement about masks once we landed in Cancun, so everyone just walked off the plane mask-less for the most part (probably 98%-ish). Got inside the terminal (recall this is Southwest's new terminal in Cancun) VERY few people put masks on while in the Cancun airport. Got our bags, went outside, no one instructed anyone to put masks on, so very few did. In reverse, we Did have to mask up while leaving, but once we stepped on the plan and Stacia noted the flight attendant wasn't wearing one, we asked and she told us "You can get them dang things off if you want, feel free." So, there you go.
