Tell me about it. That's why I've been living on my own since I was 18. Asian parents are the most controlling in the world, if not the universe. But when I live 8000 miles away from them and I only spend the money I make on my own, I'm free like a bird. Woohoo!!

Home ownership is overrated. Look what got us into this global economic mess...a $hitload of people who shouldn't be owning homes borrow huge amount of debt to buy houses and then can't pay back their mortgage. Banks, lenders, and financial instiutes can't write down their loses fast enough. Insurers of bank debts go bust. Credit liquidity dries up for everyone. Car companies can't sell cars without being able to means to lend money so they are going bust too. Massive amount of people losing jobs and consumer confidence ends up in the dumper. Nobody buying anything, company cuts back on productions and investements. Hello global recession. Thanks a lot, home owners. :?
