We were getting worried that the resort will be empty but just looked at our dates (3/28-4/3) on the official site and the only rooms available were the old garden view rooms. Confirmed the same on 2 other hotel aggregator sites. And the prices had actually gone UP from the time we booked. Unless somebody our flights are canceled/border closes we'll be there.
We haven’t gotten through to Expedia yet. But we can’t travel due to the DOD travel ban. We got the travel insurance so hopefully canceling is easy. We will probably wait another week to call.
We are a month out so we need to cancel the trip today- We knew two weeks ago it was a long shot but still so disappointing. What a waste of ten weeks of gym work!! If anyone is 99% going to cancel, try to do it today. I wonder will the resorts all across Mexico and other holiday destinations all close this week- certainly in Spain they are done. European airlines are allowing people to reschedule for free but how many of them will still be in business by the time this clears? Stay safe guys and see you soon.
Still monitor daily travel advisory. Our Expedia bundle deal with departure flight and hotel seem easy to change up to Dec 2020 but our return flight with interjet only honor till May 31st. And we are desperately in need of a vacay so most likely to change our date to end of April beginning of May. Also we could add another day or two due to the price drop within that time. A couple weeks late but more days in paradise and in hope of travel would not be a hassle as of now.
