What the hell man?! We're still trying to find a trip to join our friends down there at the end of March. Not only have the prices gone bananas, but the flights are wacky! I just saw one from Edmonton to Cancun (normally 6 hours direct) take 34 hours because of three stops and cost $400 more per person than it cost us last year. If we want direct, consider adding another $800 or so per person on top of that. What. The. Hell.
Are you guys looking at all-inclusive packages at all? I took a look at some of the prices and they didn't look too bad. D

Tripcentral.. that's a thought.. although we swore we'd never fly Sunwing ever again. We'll see what Westjet comes up with in the next while. Don't think early March is an option for us work-wise, unfortunately. Hope your have fun though, B&P.
Where about are you in Wisc? Sun Country does a direct flight for $600rt/pp Did you try travelrepublic.com for the stay? it was $20 cheaper per night than Alpha. when we booked. We got it for $160/nt for 2 ppl. Still kind high but better than most.
