jason, i thought they extended that date to like 2008 or something, thats what i heard at least, no worries for me have had my passport since 2000 when i went to italy and good to 2010 which sucks cuz my pic is absolutely horrible!! thats good though that they are making it mandatory for everyone to have a passport, much faster and easier and cool stamps from all over the world in it!
they extended it till january 1, 2008 but only if your crossing the border by land (on foot or in a car) and if your getting there by sea (cruise ship)... if your flying in you have to use a passport starting...january 23 of 2007
