I havent hsd a problem but ill tell you this!
I've left my room a total mess , never unpacked and didnt leave a tip . Not only did the maid clean my room but after tipping her for doing so , without being asked to, she unpacked for me put away my clothers in the dressers and hung up the rest. She also decorated my bed with a swan made of towels . Needles to say she got tipped everyday after that. Those girls work hard and if you leave them a tip they go out of there way to please you.

We're not the neatest ppl. when it comes to vacation time (leave clothes lying around, change on dresser, jewelry on dresser)and we've not had anything taken, if anything we've had our clothes straightened up ,our change stacked neatly and our jewelry laid out orderly. We love the maids there they work so hard and deserve recognition for thier hard work . I have a question !! Why is it when these ppl. that post fowl reports make one or two comments after thier report and then you never hear from them again ?

When I was thre in May I took way to many clothes and needed additional hangers.

I asked for some and expected to find them either in the closet or on the bed.

The maid had taken my clothes out of the suitcase and hung them up for me.

I thought it was a very nice thing for her to do.

Talking with a night mgr. one night, he told me this story. Some people complained once about $500 being stolen from their room. Of course the maids must have done it. Security searched the room and found the money under the matress. The guests were very embarassed when they remembered putting it there to hide it while drunk the night before.

I don't believe the people's story about the clothes. Strange how 7 people in 3 rooms ALL had clothes stolen. Also strange how the maid who just happened to be the same size as all 7 women.

Would any of you people who believed the review like to buy the Brooklyn Bridge. I think I have the tittle around here somewhere. LOL

I have never been offended by any BBG staff member. They all have always treated me with utmost respect. Think about it, would someone who is from a poor country where they are clammering to get across the border into our country risk a much sought after job where they get a small salary and most of the time generous tips to feed their families just to steal a few articles of clothing. They knew they would be searched at the end of the day.

Been there 3 times and each time in multiple states of conciousness we have either left our room unlocked all day, left money cameras cell phones scattered throughout the room on dresser, TV or in the bathroom. Each time we have gotten a safe for our papers and have intended to use it for more valuable items but lets be honest by day 2 you either forget to use it or you leave your stuff on the pool deck while you go back to the room or whatever. We are repeaters but not 65 or 20 times like some. But even on our second stay Ms Cruz remembered us when we checked in from a year before. We had friends that left their room unlocked for the majority of their stay and only made sure that they had a key before the room was changed because the maids would lock their patio when they were done.
The housekeeping staff have never been anything less then excellent on any of our stays. They probably put things where we would find then rather then hide them from us. Are there bad apples probably havent seen any at the BBG.

I may have been a little less disbelieving if it had not happened to EVERYONE in the group. In all likelihood they were not even grouped close enough in rooms to even have the same maid so what are they suggesting...its a conspiracy to steal just these girls clothes???
We have never heard of anyone we know that goes to BBG having an issue with anything being stolen. We do secure our extra cash, passports etc (which we would do no matter where we stayed) but I have not been worried either time about something being stolen. The next time I "dare" got to BBG I don't imagine I will be any more cautious than I have in the past.

I doubt another resort had anything to do with it..more likely just some girls looking to cash in on making a claim against the resort.

Well, we went down with one wallet and both our credit cards in that wallet. The wallet went from my back pocket to the safe in the room as soon as we got there. When we got home we were paying bills and checked the credit card for our Christmas shopping expenses and saw two charges from Cancun posted the date we left. The cards never saw the light of day while we were in Mexico! Not sure how to explain that one.
As far as the lock on the suitcase goes, i would suggest not gettting a cheap one that can be picked with anything that fits in it but that will be our solution from now on.
