We also booked a Lush Tower Oceanfront Suite. But part of the reason we waited until later in October, was to make sure the resort had time to finish things and work out the bugs. But in reality, our room is nothing more than a changing room. And if we do make it back to our room at night, we might even sleep there for a few short hours. So, we are not too concerned as long as it has hot water, A/C, a place to fool around, and a place to nap once in awhile. If not, maybe a kind soul will share a hot shower in their room.
OK, I just read that twice. I really don't think it will have much effect on your outcome. They will try to get done, not because of any implied "threat," and "non-negotiability" which you are attempting to put "on them." I think they will, based on previous experience, seek to fulfill the room reservations, just as they were "seeking" to fulfill them for everyone. They simply didn' have the time/resources/ability to get it all done.... on time... which remember, really was NOT actually on time, as the True -- On Time -- is October 16, not August 16. For example, what do you do if you get there, and the only thing that they do have available with running hot water and A/C is not your requested room AND none of the upgrade categories you've specified (I note it wasn't a request by the phrasing) are ready either? If you really wanted to side-step such things and expect, with reasonable levels of customer service in place and ready, you'd have booked for later, and if you couldn't have booked for later, booked somewhere else. Hotel openings are... I'll borrow the word, a Shitshow, sometimes literally. As soon as I learned that the hotel was actually coming right out int he open and calling it a "soft opening," I knew it wasn't for us.... at least for a couple of months. All of the above being said... I still bet that you have a great time. TTR is, or rather was and probably will be again, a fantastic place to go unwind and spend a few days in what amounts to The Land of Beer Commercials, or The Place Where Porn Movie Plotlines are Real, or.... well... you get the idea.

I know you deleted your account but I just had to add that you forgot to ask fro cold water! If all they supplied was 120-140 degree HOT water washing and showering would be quite an experience of course you could let the Jacuzzi cool a bit
Damn it, he was going to update me on the Lush room ! lol... oh well back to the main point of the thread, if anyone is there or headed there soon and has this room type booked if they could update their status it would be appreciated.
I won't be there when you are, but something tells me you won't have any problem getting someone to share their shower with you if you need one.
