we upgraded to Ultra lightweight ( checked) luggage, (2),,, its an extra 10 total pounds we can take funny ,, we did Vegas with just carry ons,, but we fill 2 check , and 2 carry ons for TTR,, for the same period.
You will be surprised what you can actually fit in two checked pieces of luggage. My small carry on luggage has all my shoes and beauty supplies. That helps with the weight limit for the larger luggage. Don't forget you also are allowed a purse. As long as it fits under the seat in front of you so it can be large and fit in extra clothes if you need it to.
We made it to TTR with just two carry-on's the last time we went. It was great. Took only the essentials, rolled everything and still had enough room for several pairs of shoes for her in mine. Knowing we'd spend most of our time in swimsuits and of course sexy stuff for her doesn't take up much room. The nice thing about this we got off the plane through customs and out the doors to our driver from USA Transfers and were headed to the resort while most were still waiting for the carousel to deliver their luggage.
