Apple price matches too so book and find it cheaper and they will give you that price. I like them because they are always around if problems arise and they provide transfers.
We booked 8 nights Oct 25-Nov 2 through American Airlines for $1020 each out of Springfield MO with great flight times. We arrive at 11am! Good deal for us!
Just booked through Cheaptickets.com... ...for eight nights in September (19th through the 27th). Using the code "CHEAPPKG150" ended up paying $1742 ($871 each) for the whole shebang! We can't do eight days of "staycation" for that! The code is good if booked through the end of June and travel completed by the end of September. Can't wait to get back!

That is a very interesting perspective. As I typed this Ms SkiBum was standing naked ready to have a shower on Thursday Night Wine Night and we discussed your point, quickly as one might guess. Our staycation total came to $300/night without factoring in any entertainment whatsoever. Yeah, we'll be hitting TTR again, sooner rather than later.
