Have one for me I am starting my third week in a row out in the bush of Northern Alberta and the silly site I am at is a 'dry camp'!
I knew that was the price of working as a hydrogeologist in Western Canada. If you deal with the oil patch up here winter is the busiest time, it would be almost impossible to drill in the summer as most of northern Canada is the consistency of a swamp (see muskeg). thank god I have the internet and satellite TV lol
haha well I do get to make up for it a little bit. Every day I am out here I put in for 12 hours. Usually my work day is 7.5 in the office so every week I am out here I bank 46.5 hours. Three weeks of this should pay for a week at TTR including airfare and a few bar trips not using any of my regular pay or time off :headbanger:. Plus I can say I was on the clock while rotting my brain watching Maury Povich and Jerry Springer this morning, all without being in a rush to put on pants.
Well that alone makes up for it ...haha theres nothing like that feeling of a " Hey, I dont have to even put my pants on yet"... lol
