The reality of it is that the majority of us will use courtesy when taking photos at TTR the same as we do anywhere. The debate started with the opening post by labeling everyone with a camera as a loser. As we all know, it's only a few inconsiderate assholes that cause problems. It's pretty obvious that on here you are either for or against the issue. Most of us that are for cameras will be taking pics "responsibly" and don't need hotheads jumping the gun and making threats or even worse getting thrown out of the resort and possible into jail. That would ruin everyones vacation as well as get the aggressor labeled as such and may prevent them from coming back in the future.

The same debate arises on the gun issue. Too many people (especially those that have no gun rights) label everyone with a firearm as a murderer. I own lots of guns. I spend a lot of time and money hunting every year. I carry a weapon for personal protection. I have taught my wife and sons all about guns. I have bought them their own guns and make sure they go to the range and shoot them often. And I do it all responsibly.

These things I do are my rights. If you don't like these rights or you are not guaranteed these rights, I feel sorrow for you, not anger. This is a right I take very personally and seriously. I will defend this right with my life. I can assure you I am not a murderer. My guns have never killed anyone.

I am far from an irresponsible killer. As a public servant I have been a firefighter and paramedic for over 29 years. I have saved many lives and made the future much brighter for those I have helped along the way.

Lets not debate this here please.................................

As you allseem to be repecting each others views on guns, why don't we all do the same with the cameras? Theres never going to be a perfect solution that suits everyone but if we all look out for each other and help each other the risk or damage will be minimal and we can all enjoy our vacations. __________________

well said les, we have a large group going in april, everyone always looks out for one another, wheather it be cameras or anything else, as we have said before, have not really had any problems with camera's before, but can understand someone getting pissed by one or two idiots with a camera, lets not let anything spoil our holiday, and as you said, we dont have an option when it comes to guns, interesting reading all the threads though and seeing all the differant opinions, lets all just think about the great times to come, booze, sun and everything else ;), 27 more days for us :)

Guys you have to lets leave the gun thing go, especially all this 'It's my right' etc. You weren't born with the right to own firearms, it was given to you by a pro gun goverment. I couldn't give two craps if Americans have guns or not, I'm just glad that we don't have that right.

Sorry for saying this but I respect everyones view on wanting to keep fire arms but please don't tell me it's your right because no one was born with that right. People can take this what ever way they like because to be honest most people are asking everyone to let it go but some won't although I'm not trying to offend anyone.

This forum is about what goes on at TTR and as long as you don't bring you guns and just bring your very friendly selves we'll all be happy.

    Les,
I gotta tell ya', what you have said is exactly the opposite of our governmental system. Over here we have rights that are given by the creator, not by gov't. Life, liberty, persuit of happiness and all that. Freedom of speech, and the right to bear arms. It wasn't given to us, we had it from birth and we have a contract with our Gov't that ensures they won't infringe upon it. Our bill of rights doesn't tell us what we have, it tells the gov't what it can't screw with. It grants us nothing except protection.

You seem like a pretty independant guy, I find it odd that you would feel a group of corrupt politicians (they are corrupt everywhere and have been forever) have the right to tell you how to live your life and protect your intrests. I am not telling you that you would be better off with a gun. I am mearly suggesting a choice would be nice.

For some reason our neighbors across the pond and to the north cannot grasp this concept. Hell even alot of US Citizens can't either. I'm not just speaking specifically of those of you on this board from those countries.

That's just a philosophical difference. Personally I feel more comfortable walking the streets not wondering who has a gun on them. Our system is different, not necessarily better nor worse.
