Looking for a long term rental apartment in Downtown

Another normally unspoken tip is to look when it is raining. Street flooding is a big deal downtown. That would make the last two weeks a dream time to look around. It is a total pain to drive thru a flood or floods going to and from home a couple of times each day. Look for high ground if you have the opportunity or at least question neighbors before making a commitment. Hopefully we are now on the tail end of the rainy season now.

From the hotel zone, going south on both Tulum and Bonampak there are some medium to high priced projects. You can walk from Plaza las Americas to Coba to catch the bus to the HZ, in under 10 minutes. The R27 actually could take you from the mall to the HZ, but not the 1, 2 or 15 which are the main ones going to the HZ.

There are even some luxury apts on the NE corner of the mall, which would be the nearest corner on Bonampak to Coba/Kukulcan.

I have already contacted some real estate agents and I hope I will be visiting a couple of apartment right after my arrival.

I will also walk around and use my "spanish" to book some visits.
