Locks for luggage

    How many of you lock up your luggage? I have in the past but I lost my locks..........once I even lost the keys and had to cut the lock although some of the new TSA locks have number cods you put in to open it. Anyone lock your luggage or no?

    everytime I fly now they prohibit locked luggage.. in case you get picked for inspection.

    Always lock my case.

    when i was comin home from new york i had locked my visa slip in my case and needed it to check in. i didnt have a key so all i did was literally rip the padlock off. they arent the strongest things around but i guess they act as a deterant. im guessin theives will look for unlocked ones and not bother with a locked one.

    unless you buy a lock that is also TSA certified, which in that case they have a master key for, from what I read on the TSA website a good 10 min. ago.

    Jason is correct on this one. I have two of those that I use frequently.

    To avoid the hassle with TSA, I usually just secure my luggage with plastic zip ties. There're not really strong enough to prevent someone from stealing the contents, but a thief might look for easier prey...

    I locked my suitcase up in the hotel room not for the flight though.
