They used to only be fit for servants and prisoners, rich folk would never lower themselves to such fare. Odd how times have changed.
It's funny cause that's why I don't like lobster...I grew up pretty poor in Cape Breton where lobsters were cheap as anything. They used to be given to us by fisherman as trade for my mother watching their kids so to me...it reminds me of being poor! We couldn't afford milk or bread but we always had lobster hahaha Sorry for the over share but it's kinda cool to see people's perception of certain food.
I really don't care for lobster my self but will eat some if it doesn't cost me anything, I can come up with a lot of better tasting foods to spend money on. Donna on the other hand love it. T
Yea I will eat it, but it isn't that big of a deal to me at all. (plus I think they overcook it all at TTR and you have to soak it in butter). I'd take rare lamb chops and a jumbo lump crab cake over lobster any day of the week.
