right you are ! there is a huge metal and gothioc scene here. the biggest HARD AND HEAVY 3 days festival called WACKEN (a very little village like WOODSTOCK) is taking place every year just around the corner ... 70.000 people (head-) banging around ... headliner this year: : Airbourne, Apocalyptica, Ozzy Osbourne, Suicidal Tendencies .... :aktion033::aktion033::aktion033:

sharkies-I'm not into Rammstein,they're just silly.I do like a lot of industrail and ebm.Suicide Commando,Velvet Acid Christ,Reaper,old Wumpscut.Just a few examples.
A few on the goth side that I like:Faith & the Muse,Mephisto Walz,London After Midnight,Seraphim Shock.
You are so fortunate to be living in Germany!This is a great thread you started,I could talk about music forever.

yeah ... the KÖLNER DOM ... is definitively very impressive and a must to see (once you are here) .. if you have a chance you have to have a look. but EUROPE is full of these historical christian buildings ... the cathedral of SEVILLE is another outstanding building ... among hundreds of others.
