You will look fine in a thong! If girls are allowed to wear thongs why cant the guys? I saw a few 'man thongs' walking into Nice Shoes, one of them did not leave a lot to the imagination LOL!

That sounds like a fun idea; seen it done frequently. The reason for the 'dress code' is to stop people from coming in wearing jeans & a t-shirt and just gawking. As long as you wear something within the spirit of the event, you'll be fine. Creativity is always appropriate! Boxers are sort of the minimum (maximum?) men can wear and be admitted. A thong, Crown Royal bag, whatever you have the nerve to wear- it'll all work.
