That will do us no good. We've never been in a hurry to get back home from TTR. The ride usually breaks down into a session of Googling for our next trip.
We arrived at 4:00 on Feb 2. The line started at the jetway. 2 hours later, we got out of the airport. This is welcome news!
We used the mobile passport app in Denver today and walked passed all the line and customs took 5 min. Not sure why everyone wasn’t using it.
Also in case anyone doesnt know, 30 days out you can complete the Customs and Immigration forms out online and print them out for Cancun and breeze right through and not have to worry about filling it out on the plane or worse while you are standing in line waiting.
Wow, that'd be one hell of an intro line when at TTR. "Hi, my name's _____. Do you have Global Entry?"
Oh wow. Two hours would be painful. We've been out of the airport in as little as 20 minutes, but most of the time it's around a half hour. It makes a big difference how quickly your bags come through also. When I flew more often I had a higher status with Delta and those bags would come off first.
Our quickest was after a red-eye from SLC. We arrived at 8:00 in the morning. In and out in 15 minutes. After this last experience, it looks like red-eyes in the future. On this latest trip, our bags had been taken off the carousel and put in a corner.
we get ours as perk with our American Express. But you fill out a form pay a fee and then go for a joke of a interview. Our interview was at the airport. It good for 5 years Global Entry | U.S. Customs and Border Protection
Global Entry and what you decribed are two different things. Global entry is a global pass app that can be used as a quicker way of entering the USA. No interview. No fee. Filling out a form, paying a fee, and going for an interview is for PreCheck.
