My husband and I love Temptation and we love Desire, but we are not swingers. We love the flirty, naughty vibe of both Cancun resorts, but we are very happily monogamous. We live a vanilla life at home and while that can be fine, we can also get restless. Unfortunately, we can't afford to go to Mexico as much as we'd like. I had read that there were lifestyle clubs in cities like Toronto and New Orleans and I was surprised to learn that there were a few in my hometown. At first, we thought, "Eureka! Just what we were looking for" but after a while, I thought about it some more. The beauty of Temptation is "No one knows you, no one gives a sh!t" - but would that kind of philosophy be possible in a club in your own zip code? You might find someone you know, right? Also, what are these clubs like, in general? I'm hoping they're more like dance clubs, with rooms for playtime on the side. Usually I look for reviews for everything (resorts, restaurants, electronics, etc) but I wouldn't know how to find reviews for a lifestyle club. Can anyone help?
In so many ways it should be like what you experience at TTR. As far as reviews you could always google the club or even do a general search of swingerclub or lifestyle club.
I'm *hoping* it'll be like TTR! I miss that atmosphere so much! I did try searching for reviews, but believe it or not, swingers clubs are not listed in TripAdvisor or Yelp, haha, at least not our local ones. I did just recently register with some swingers' sites (which feels really weird, since we are *not* swingers) and I did see some chatter about the local clubs. I'm going to keep digging when I have some spare time. Some days we are gung-ho and all for trying these clubs out. And other days, I'm terrified of running into someone I know or someone at work finding out. -Mrs C
Well, my husband and I went to our first LS nightclub last night. We had both nervous + excited during the week as the day crept closer and closer. The club is about 30 minutes from where we live, so we felt there was a chance of finding someone we knew (this was a huge concern) The club is advertised as a 10,000 sq ft location with a dance floor, DJ, 10 private rooms, a locker room, a pool table and a "bar" (the bar does not sell alcohol, but if you bring in your own, they will mix it, pour it for you) The staff ranged from indifferent (the guy who first checked us in) to to helpful (the gal who gave us the tour) to amazing (the bartender) The guests there seemed like just regular people! We were nervous we'd encounter pimp/prostitute-type people, but everyone seemed fairly "normal" - meaning, you wouldn't suspect them to be any different from any vanilla couple. There were several TVs showing porn all over the club. The dance floor was modest and the music was pretty good. Most of the guests congregated around the bar. There was some pizza, crackers and cheese cubes. (I later regretted eating the cheese as I got sick the following morning) Our tour was interesting: several private rooms (with doors that locked), semi-private rooms (with a window or a curtain) and a glory-hole room (a room with a hole in the wall. Use your imagination with what to do with that hole. There is another room on the other side of the hole) Also 2 bathrooms and one shower. Towels and soap and mouthwash were provided. There is also a nice outdoor patio for smoking. Sex is not allowed outdoors as there might be prying eyes. We were told to avoid using our cell phones, but if we had to, to hold them flat, parallel to the ground so it would not seem like we were filming or taking photos. We were advised to be discreet and respectful; any phone calls or texts could be made in the main lobby area and not disrupt anyone else's fun. All in all, we had a good time. The purpose of our visit was to satisfy our craving for Temptation and Desire. We simply cannot afford to go to Cancun as often as we'd like, so we needed something to fill the void. The club was good with music, guests, staff and overall vibe. I wish they had some organized entertainment, like contests, something to get everyone's attention.
