Let's lose some weight

    I'm doing terrible.. I just can't handle social situations.. I can be so good on my own, but get out with friends, hubby, or co-workers and the willpower, the resolve, the determination goes right out the window!!!!!

    I'm not going to be able to fit in ANYTHING in Cancun (in 4 weeks from tomorrow) and it's my own doing! I never thought I was a food aholic, but I guess I am.. :roll:

    What about getting a diet buddy?

    I know it's great to chat with all of us on here but we aren't with you in those social settings.

    How about you enlist a friend who usually is around to diet with you so you can lean on each other and help keep each other honest?

    The two secretaries in my office are both dieting as well adn I know that i couldn't do as good with lunches if we all weren't doing it together.

    Try getting a friend..or Jason....to hop on board the diet train with you.

    Actually Karan, you are on to something there! Jayson said he's ready to get healthier again.. We lost all our weight together originally. I'll talk to him and see how we can team up. Thanks !!!

    George,
    As a personal trainer 1-2 pounds a week is all you want to lose. More than that and it's muscle not fat. Keep the muscle it burns 7 calories per pound. Enjoy the 1-2 pounds of fat lost and remember that when you gained it it was 1-2 pounds at a time even though it may have seemed like more.

    Still working on my own weight loss. Still down about 5. Not where I want to be but, been sick and suffering from an ear ache for 2 months now.

    28 days until my trip and it's time to really kick it up and drop some weight. Hope I get rid of this earache before the flight. Anbody ever flown with an earache?

    How are you doing Karen? How's the Curves thing working for you?

    Curves is working out great.

    I'm doen about 12 pounds or so and about 9 inches over all.

    I really don't want to lose anymore...maybe just firm up a bit but I know Curves will get me there.

    ew flying with ear aches is the worst!! i hope you get rid of it by then

    note: my ears are always bad when i fly though

    granted I have not been working out much but I have really been watching what I eat :evil: :evil: :evil:

    Lost 18 lbs since January.
    The wife is struggling, but she has lost a total of 5 lbs.
    I would like to lose at least 10 more in order to attempt to do that "proper BMI thing". :roll:
    Today I started running again.
    Need to get back in shape for Army National Guard pt test.
