Water weight loss is still loss...especially if you can modify your eating habits so you don't continually retain water.

Don't be so hard on yourself. No one is perfect and you're doing great Denise!!!

I know, love and I'm thrilled for the loss - I just didn't want to sound show off-y... That's just not my mild, meek, mannered style!!

How was your day, Karan? Denise and I have been busy w/out you! Hoping it was an easy one for you!!

Today was busy...so busy I didn't get to eat lucnh so now I am starving.

My plan for dinner was a grilled steak salad (made with left over steak from my Mom's dinner at Longhorn of Saturday) but I'm not sure that will be enough since I haven't eaten since a Fiber One bar this morning.

I made some Mexican vegetable soup last night so I may pair that with the salad. Healthy but filling and that's what I'm after tonight.

Don't ever worry about looking showy on this thread, Denise. The point of it is to be able to talk about our successes and how we got there as much as provide encouragement when we all need it.

I didn't make any soup last night (too poopedfrom my trip  ) so today's lunch was courtesy of Subway. I figure it was just about the best thing I could get aside from bringing my lunch.

I had their gruilled chicken breast 6 ionch sub on wheat with lettuce, tomato, pickles, light mayo (and just a bit of it) and mustard. Light chips and a diet coke rounded out my meal.

Dinner tonight was a grilled steak salad (leftover steak frommy Mom's dinner at Longhorn Saturday night) with romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, jalepenos, and banana peppers. The dressing was light ranch (SouthBeach Diet Ranch to be exact) and salsas mixd together.

So I think I did pretty good today.

Sounds YUMMY!! I rebelled from my horrible dinner and decided to nibble EVERYTHING else in the house I could get my hands on..

    Why do I do that????????

Because you weren't satisfied with you dinner, silly!

You should try adding a small salad or something to the Nutrisystems dinners if they don't "do it" for you.

I almost always have afew South Beach Diet dinners in the freezer and although the ones I buy are quite tasty they don't quite fill me up at dinner time.

So I add my own salad with lots of fresh veggies and that completets the meal.

If you feel like you've had a good satisfying meal at dinner you won't be going looking for more afterwards.

Plus, make sur you have LOTS of healthy snacks on hand.

    May I suggest:

    Fruit or fruit salad
    lowfat yogurt
    salsa with celery
    celery with peanut better
small individual bag of nutsmicrowave popcorn
any of the 100 calorie packs they have out
    Fibar One bars
    South Beach Diet snack bars
    Special K bars

And another thing to remember is that 90% of us mistake thirst for hungar. So next time you've eaten your meal but think you are hungry and hour or so later, try drinking 8 onces of water (you can flavor it with a bit oflemon juice or cranberry jiuce...but watch the amount if using cranberry juice as it has calories) and then wait 20 minutes before grabbibng for asnack. Chances are yoiu weren't hungry...you were thirtsy.

Another trick is to eat 6 smaller meals throughout the day instead of 3 bigger ones. Keeps the blood sugar up with controls cravings and hungar pangs.
