I'm doing fine food wise but I'm not exercising as much as I'd like to I know it's my own fault......but I thought I'd be doing better than this as I've been eating and drinking well
That's always a Temptation. I'm just not drinking until I get to Cancun as part of my diet but I know the munchies will come out there so I'll have to really build up my willpower.
OK Gang here is my update. I started Weight Watchers on 1/7/07. Thus far I have lost 5lbs. My big challenge will be this weekend starting tomorrow. I will have National Guard duty for the weekend. I won't have complete control over my meal plannig. On the plus side is that my bonus points are good through tomorrow and I get new bonus points on Saturday (you WW alum know what a big deal this is!! :wink Hopefully it will all work out. I hope you all will be encouraged and do well for the weekend. Reggie
Way to go, Reggie!!! Yes,, I do know how important those bonus points are. One of the secretary's in my office is doing WW and she really likes those bonus points. Good luck this weekend...I'm sure you'll do fine!
Denise, Have you ever thought of joining Curves??? I really like it (as you know) and I have never been a person for exercise so that really says something. it's only a 30 minute time commitment (okay, 40 by the time you stretch afterward) three times a week and I can see a difference already. I use to use the 4th notch on my belts but the last day or so I have noticed I can go to the 5th notch so I am losing inches too.
Way to go everyone! Jen, Karan, Denise, and Reggie !! (and anyone else I forgot ) Dinner was awesome for me....willpower-wise I had a turkey burger patty....and steamed veggies (cauliflower, broccoli, carrots)...no butter or salt. Water. While alongside me at the dinner table the kids and Kevin ate....fish sticks and french fries and ice cream for dessert  Probably the most unhealthy meal they have had it a while...so I guess its okay. Plus, they have NO weight problems. Lucky them.
I didn't really think about it until we all started posting what we were eating but I think in someways I have it a bit easier than most of you. I live alone (except for Sam  ) and don't have kids so I don't have the Temptation of watching others eat all the good stuff I'm not eating. And I don't have to worry about breaking down and having some of those great tasting but not so healthy snacks because I don't have them in house. I just don't buy them. But with a family it's not so easy to just buy for you. You can't make the whole family be on a diet just because you are so you all have temptations I never thought of. Ad I think you're all doing great at it!!! I'm not sure I'd bea bale to doa s well as some of you if I had all those temptatiosn staring me in the face at every meal.
