    Good for you, Tonya!!!!

I was totally thrilled at losing 5 1/2 lbs and like you know it on't be very week but that's a great start and a huge source of motivation.

I think a lot of the reason people give up is because they try and try and then don't see any results. Seeing that number on the scale go down is enough to motivate me to keep going.

Eat today...just keep doing what you have been and make healthy smart choices. And avoid lot of excess sodium if youc an to prevent form thatdreaded water gain.

    thanks :)

Yes, I did have my strawberry smoothie with 1% milk for breakfast. Not sure what I am going to do for lunch though...we'll see! I was going to do turkey, but that has a lot of sodium naturally, so maybe I'll do the tuna thing today.

I'll figure it out the closer to lunch it gets and see what sounds good.

Dont' forget to drink your water today!!!!

You all are doing great. I am struggling with 5 lbs. Going to the dentist, then to Curves. I've been doing Curves and the treadmill (3 miles) everyother day, hopefully soon the scale won't lie

Believe it or not I JUST stumbled onto this thread. I joined Weight Watchers with my wife in order to encourage her in some much needed weight loss. My surprise was that I had gained 15 lbs over the past year.

Plus I tried on a suit recently only to find out that I was sneaking up to the next size.
Must be one cheesesteak too many.
It became obvious that I could stand to lose some weight as well.

My first mission is to get myself back under 200 lbs.
Then I would love to challenge myself to acheiving my proper BMI and believe me that will be a challenge.

Come hang out with us here, Reggie.

I can tell you for a fact that chatting with the people here has really helped keep me in check and I've learned all sorts of info on nutrition and dieting that I never knew before. And hopefully I've been helpful to some oters as well.

Guess this upcoming trip will be the first one in a while that I skip the cheesesteaks..or maybe go in moderation and not have 2 like we all usually do.

Welcome!!! Just jump right in....we pretty much keep each other in check with posting what we ate, gives each other menu ideas....plus its nice to have people on the same mission as you.... for you joining WW with your wife! That's awesome!

I hate the BMI...I think its all pffffffft....although, it would be nice to put my own measurements in there and see that it doesn't say OBESE! I look at myself and don't see obese....I have always weighed heavy, not looking super heavy....at least, thats what I've been led to believe all these years!!!

But seriously, when I was a cheerleader in highschool...looked great, but I still weighed 150lbs at 5 foot 7.5 inches tall...so who knows!

Lunch today was Subway.... 6 in turkey on wheat, no cheese, lettuce, tomato, yellow and spicy mustard and oregano.

My splurge was a small bag of the Lays WOW chips. Diet Coke to drink.

Dinner was chicken taco soup, a few triscuits and a salad of lettuce, tomato, and cucumber with red wine vinegar and olive oil as the dressing.

Just made a pot of homemade chicken noodle soup so that's lunch tomorrow and took out tilapia for tomorrow's dinner. Most likely with asparagus and a side salad of celery, peppers, and cucumbers with a dressing made of tangy relish and some olive oil.
